Understand the characteristics and working principle of muffle furnace heating elements

Electric heating wire is one of the most commonly used heating elements in muffle furnaces. Its function is to heat and convert electrical energy into thermal energy after being energized. Electric heating wires are widely used in many high-temperature muffle furnaces. Therefore, it is widely used in medical, chemical, electronic, electrical, metallurgical machinery, ceramic and glass processing industries.

1. The working principle of the heating wire is the same as that of other metal heating elements. It is the electric heating phenomenon of the metal after electrification. Electric heating means that the current will generate a certain amount of heat and be transferred by the conductor after it passes through the conductor. The wire itself is a metal conductor, which generates heat and provides heat energy after being energized.

2. The types of heating wires are classified according to the content of chemical elements and the different structures of the heating wires. The types of heating wires are Fe-Cr-Al alloy heating wires and Ni-Cr alloy heating wires. As heating elements, these two heating wires have different functional characteristics.

3. The advantages and disadvantages of Fe-Cr-Al alloy heating wires are high working temperature. Experiments show that the maximum working temperature of Fe-Cr-Al alloy heating wire can reach 1400℃. The iron-chromium-aluminum alloy hot wire has long service life, high resistivity, high surface composite material and good oxidation resistance. The disadvantage of Fe-Cr-Al alloy hot wire is its low strength in high temperature environment. With the increase of temperature, the plasticity of Fe-Cr-Al alloy hot wire will be improved. In other words, Fe-Cr-Al alloy hot wire is easy to deform at high temperature, and it is not easy to repair after deformation.
