"We've been using this tilting rotary tube furnace for over a year, primarily for sulfation roasting of rare earth ores and chlorination roasting of lepidolite. The greatest value of this equipment lies in its ability to truly simulate the dynamic roasting process of an industrial rotary kiln on a laboratory scale. Previously, data obtained using a static muffle furnace always showed discrepancies when scaled up to an industrial rotary kiln because static roasting ignored the effects of material movement and mass transfer. Now, with this tilting rotary tube furnace, we can precisely control the tilt angle and rotation speed, establishing a mathematical model of residence time and conversion rate. The transparent quartz tube allows for constant observation of the material's tumbling state and whether ring formation occurs, which is extremely helpful for process diagnostics. The equipment is also very easy to operate. After setting the temperature, rotation speed, and tilt angle, we simply add material periodically from the feed end, and the product is automatically collected from the discharge end. We can complete ten sets of experiments under different conditions in one morning. The equipment provided by your company has already helped us complete process development for three mining projects, two of which have entered the pilot-scale stage.
