What does the Acceptance of Resistance Furnace Include?

After the purchased resistance furnace arrives, how can you inspect it to protect your rights? Protech Furnace recommends that you check the supporting equipment, mechanical parts, performance indicators, electrical system, safety protection and other aspects:

Compatibility acceptance

According to the contract requirements, the integrity of the whole set of furnace equipment is accepted, including the inspection of the number of furnace body and its complete set of components, the number of matching parts, the number of wearing parts, etc. During the matching acceptance process, the appearance quality is also checked, and the outer surface is required to be smooth and flat, without serious pressure pits and mechanical bruises.

Mechanical part acceptance

Installation and operation: The mechanical part is installed correctly and can operate normally, and the mechanical structure is flexible in advance, retreat, opening and closing, lifting and rotating, and the positioning is accurate. For example, the furnace cover is flexible to open, without jamming, and is tightly closed.

Auxiliary system: The auxiliary system of the furnace generally includes hydraulic and gas systems, and the auxiliary system is required to work normally whether manual or automatic. The hydraulic system should be free of oil leakage, oil leakage, oil blockage and noise, and the hydraulic mechanism and valve should be flexible and run smoothly and reliably.

Performance index acceptance

Temperature indicators: temperature control accuracy, maximum operating temperature, temperature uniformity and other indicators meet the technical requirements, the temperature control system can work normally, and the control operation is accurate

Vacuum indicators (if applicable): For resistance furnaces with vacuum requirements, the working vacuum, ultimate vacuum, vacuum pumping time and system leakage rate all meet the technical requirements, and the vacuum unit and vacuum measurement work normally.

Electrical indicators: The working current, voltage and power of the furnace are consistent with the original design.

Electrical system acceptance

Insulation resistance: After the furnace body of the resistance furnace is dried, the insulation between the heating elements of each phase to the furnace shell and each phase shall not be less than 0.5MΩ. The insulation resistance of the control circuit to the ground (when the circuit is not directly grounded) shall not be less than 1MΩ.

Measurement and control: The graduation number of the selected thermocouple should meet the standard and should have a suitable protective tube. The material of the lead wire should be the same as that of the thermocouple or use the corresponding compensation wire. Each temperature control zone of the resistance furnace should be equipped with an indicator, control and recorder (it is best to use two independent temperature indication and control systems respectively). The temperature instrument should be marked with the graduation number of the thermocouple used. An over-temperature controller should be equipped, and the over-temperature control circuit should be an independent circuit. For resistance furnaces, electrode salt bath furnaces and vacuum furnaces that use non-metallic heating elements (such as silicon carbide and molybdenum disilicide), ammeters should be equipped to detect changes in the current value of the main circuit.

Acceptance of safety protection

Interlock protection: For resistance furnaces with a rated voltage higher than 25V, an interlock protection switch must be set. When the furnace door or furnace cover is opened, the power supply is automatically cut off, or an operating tool with grounding protection or reliable insulation is used. Controlled atmosphere furnaces with explosion hazards should have necessary interlock alarm systems and other safety devices.

Alarm and protection design: The alarm and protection design is well considered, and the markings are clear and accurate. Conventional electrical protection mainly includes system main circuit, heating main circuit, control circuit electrical protection, transmission motor overload, etc. At the same time, the over-temperature of any temperature point can also be alarmed by the recorder.

Other acceptance

Sealing performance: The furnace door or furnace cover of the intermittent resistance furnace should be able to be closed reliably to minimize air leakage. The welds of the furnace shell of the controlled atmosphere furnace should not leak. The weld structure should ensure that it can be leak-checked and welded after the furnace lining is built. The sealing of the vacuum furnace must ensure the required pressure rise rate of the vacuum furnace.

Heating element: The material of the heating element should be reasonably selected according to its use conditions (working temperature, furnace atmosphere, thermal and chemical effects caused by possible condensation or sediment, etc.). The heating part of the heating element should have a uniform cross-section, a smooth surface, and no obvious cracks or scratches.
