What are the reasons for the damage of the tube furnace during use

Today Nuotai Technology will share with you what are the reasons for the damage of the furnace tube in the use of the down tube furnace:

    First of all, the furnace tube is an important equipment for the heat transfer of the tube furnace. It works under very harsh conditions and directly hits the fire, because it is impossible to leave a high safety factor in the process (otherwise the furnace tube will be too thick). Therefore, it is easier to damage than other general equipment in the factory. Furnace tube damage mainly includes tube wall thinning, cracking, internal and external corrosion, deformation, and bulging, etc. What are the reasons for these damage phenomena:

   1. Furnace tube coking
  Tube furnace tube damage is generally caused by coking. Coking is a phenomenon in which the oil temperature inside the furnace tube exceeds a certain limit and then thermally cracks, becomes free carbon, and then accumulates on the furnace tube. The damage process is: coking begins in the tube, which increases the temperature of the tube wall, thereby intensifying the oxidation of the surface and the corrosion of the furnace tube. Oxidation makes the thickness of the tube wall thinner, and then the thinned area first bulges under the dual action of internal pressure and heat. After the furnace tube is bulged, the gap between the inner wall of the tube and the coke layer will increase, so that the temperature of other parts of the furnace tube will gradually rise, thereby further oxidizing and thinning, and finally causing the furnace tube to rupture.
  2, local overheating
If the flow rate in the tube is reduced, the heat transfer coefficient of the medium in the tube will be greatly reduced, the flow state of the medium in the tube may change, and there will be drift between the coils, and their consequences will be offset because of the heat load. Reduce the safety degree brought to the furnace tube, thereby causing local overheating of the furnace tube under low load, commonly known as "dry burning".
  3, heat transfer deterioration
   The deterioration of heat transfer is mainly due to the fact that the burner is too close to the furnace tube. In order to improve the heat transfer, the combustion flame can be adjusted, or the burner can be re-arranged or replaced, and the heating coil can be re-arranged.

   Therefore, in the process of using the tube furnace, we must pay special attention to the condition of the furnace tube. Once the above phenomena occur, we must adjust it in time to avoid damage to the furnace tube.
