Production process of muffle furnace

Structural design and material preparation
The main structure of the muffle furnace consists of a furnace frame, a furnace shell, a furnace lining, a furnace door device, electric heating elements and auxiliary systems.
The furnace frame usually adopts a steel welded frame, which is covered with steel plates to enhance load-bearing and sealing performance; small furnaces may directly use thick steel plates to replace the furnace frame.
The furnace shell is welded with steel plates, and the design needs to take into account both strength and thermal insulation performance. Some high-temperature models are equipped with cooling water jackets to reduce the furnace mouth temperature.

Furnace lining production and thermal insulation design
The furnace lining is the core of the muffle resistance furnace. It is composed of refractory materials (such as high-alumina bricks) and thermal insulation materials (diatomaceous earth, ceramic fiber). The high-temperature furnace adopts a three-layer insulation structure to reduce heat loss.
The low-temperature furnace can simplify the design and use ordinary refractory bricks and fiber materials.

Electric heating element installation and configuration
Electric heating elements are selected according to temperature requirements: high-temperature furnaces often use silicon carbide rods (up to 1350℃) or molybdenum disilicide (1600℃), and medium and low-temperature furnaces mostly use metal alloys (such as nickel-chromium alloys).
The elements are arranged vertically or horizontally on both sides or the top of the furnace. Some designs use circulating fans to enhance thermal uniformity.

Integration of control system and temperature measuring device
Thermocouples are used to monitor temperature in real time. High-temperature furnaces use platinum-rhodium thermocouples (S type), and medium and low-temperature furnaces mostly use nickel-chromium-nickel-silicon (K type).
The intelligent temperature control system supports multi-segment programming, equipped with PID self-tuning, over-temperature alarm and other functions, and some models support remote monitoring.

Sealing and safety device debugging
The furnace door adopts double-layer sealing (ceramic fiber rope + silicone rubber ring), and is designed with a safety limit switch. When the door is opened, the power supply is automatically cut off to ensure safe operation.
The furnace top is equipped with an adjustable exhaust chimney for exhaust gas.

Furnace baking process
The new furnace needs to sinter the furnace lining through the furnace baking process, control the heating rate (especially the 400-870℃ stage), avoid cracks caused by quartz phase change, and the final sintering temperature needs to be 50-100℃ higher than the working temperature.
